Okay guys, this is our next word. now this one is a little different.
Your television is the Fernseher. However, this is what is known as a SEPARABLE PREFIX VERB.
This means that Fern is the prefix, sehen is the suffix. To say something like “I like to watch TV”, you WOULD NOT say “Ich fernsehen gern”. NO NO NO NO NO.
You separate the verb. It would, instead be, “Ich SEHE fern gern”, or “I see TV gladly”.

Kennen = to know (a person)
Ex: ”Ich kenne Michael, und ihrem Freunde, Rachel”. (I know Michael, and his girlfriend Rachel)

Kennen is used to say that you know another person. If you want to say that you know, for example, a FACT, you would use the verb “wissen”, which will be covered in a later lesson, as it is an irregular verb.
Wohnen = to live
(voh-nin)
Ich wohne… I live
Du wohnst… you live
er/sie/es wohnt… he/she/it lives
Wir wohnen… we live
ihr wohnt… they live
Sie wohnen… (Formal)
Ex: Ich wohne im Louisville.
Ich wohne am Hause.
